Rites of Spring #24 Breaking the intro sound barrier - look out Jian · 26.05.10 by colin newell
I do a lot of voice-over stuff for a media company in Taipei Taiwan… the country… It’s a country. It is NOT part of China. Take that Mao!
Anyway – there is a feature on one of the hosts on some other media network in Singapore or somewhere like that…
and I got the duty of doing the intro and interview…
So I thought I would attempt to break Jian Ghomeshi’s most long winded interview intro… which is, I am sure, somewhere near a somnolence inducing 2 and 3/4 minutes.
This intro is 2 minutes and 50 seconds or something – delivered at a whopping 230 words per minute.
Give it a listen. If you survive much passed the first minute only to close out, you are perfectly normal. If you achieve the 2 minute mark, you have the patience of Job. If you make it to the end, I have a free meditation CD for you and it’s time for you to acknowledge that your body produces Oxycontin naturally.
Good luck folks!
